Prom

Things have not been going so great, but I will save that for another post. Most of you know that I am was a high school teacher and once again it was prom time. I love this time of year because I get to see my girls all dressed up. Here are a few pics.
Remember my Half Marathon buddy Jen? Here she is, we clean up pretty well. One of my favorite students, she is looking fabulous, I am so proud of her. |
In hot yoga news....
I made it to 4 out of the 7 days. I am still going to try and go once a week. Running has taken a back seat since I was so busy with school wrapping up the year. Next week is my last week at work, so after that I am devoted to my health routine.
I no longer have a job as of July 1st. After teaching for 5 years, I waslet go because two teachers with more senority than me are coming back from maternity leave. I hate to say that I think that I am going to get out of teaching, not enough money, too much work and not enough compensation. I am going to go to a recruiter to help me work my resume to see if I can find a science related jobs, after all I do have a B.Sc. The sad thing is that so many jobs want experience and how do you get experience if you cannot get a job? Catch 22.
I keep pushing and I will keep you posted. I have Prince to look forward to tomorrow.

I love your pics, you and your students look great. I've never been to a prom before, they didn't exist over here until recently, but they look like lots of fun (based on what i've seen on tv!) lol
You look great. I'm sorry to hear about your job. Considering your degree, I'm sure you will find something quickly. I pray that you do and claim it.
I'm so sorry about your job. I, too, was let go after ten years of teaching. But I'm not tripping. It pushes me to navigate towards things I love.
Good luck!
